Alpha plugin released

The first release on the new download system "Alpha" will be available on the new download system tonight. The next download system will allow you to download at your maximum line-speed instead of the traditional 1-15KB/s imposed on the Q3 Arena engine which seemed like a lot back in the dial-up days (since 56 kbits = 7 KB/s). Hope you enjoy the faster speeds, more content and Jenova Academy map should be released in the "Beta" or "Gamma" release. Please report any bugs and/or give feedback in the Jenova Plugin section of the forum.

Site overhaul

Over the next week I will be adding/changing the following:

• Fixing the gallery scroller on the homepage and adding new screenshots.
• Completing the entity guide, apart from entities which are uncommon and have never been documented, those will be added at a later point
• Customizing the server tracker and making it more minimalist, improving the server list page
• Updates to forum extensions [almost]
• Re-adding moods [need to remove branding]
• Adding landing pages for Weapons building utility and the lugormod server-side.
• Adding a shop [needs polish]
• Adding a open academy landing page with links to download OA from OA's website
• Completing the roster... for real this time? lol [dt is finishing auto-roster, his priority is downloadspeed right now]

Server issues resolved

The issue with the server billing automatic renewal and the DDoS attack prior have been resolved.

This shows the time of the downtime (no activity):

• The first large drop is the billing issue
• The second and third drop was the attack

Site now on SSL & SPDY

Site is now running over 128-bit SSL and Google's new SPDY protocol (speedy). Let me know if you experience any issues.

Server antiproxy and new maps

I have invested in a daily updated vpn/proxy list subscription for $199 US/lifetime, which is tapped into by a plugin weapon just made, this will start blocking people attempting to avoid bans with vpn/proxies starting around July 22nd.

On a brighter note, I have started work on some of my own maps for the server, if you like my mp/duel5 i'm sure you'll like my other maps, if you don't then you're probably not big on PvP or something I guess, my PvE maps will be quite a bit more featured than that.
